Andrew Wilson and Johnny McFadden are winers of the WVU LaunchLab Show of Hands pitch competition  

Five student teams pitched not-for-profit or social change ideas for products and businesses to a full crowd, who served as the judges for the evening. The top three contenders were those with the most votes. They were awarded monetary prizes to fund their projects, receiving $1,500, $750, and $500 respectively.

A new Space Lab experience will be a part of the STEM Festival on March 24 from noon to 4 p.m. The Mineral County STEM Network will host the 6th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Festival for area students and parents on the West Virginia University Potomac State College campus in Keyser.

 

Nurse Practitioner and DNP students from the School of Nursing will provide primary care services in remote areas of Honduras in April. The team members pay their own way and bring all medications and supplies needed for the week. The students rely on medication donations to help meet the needs of the patients they will care for. Items not donated are purchased by the team.
