John and Betty Ray Loyd established the John and Betty Ray Loyd Family 4-H Endowment Fund will support scholarships for 4-H members, leaders and volunteers in Barbour, Braxton and Lewis counties.

Dr. Douglas Slain, an infectious disease specialist and professor at the School of Pharmacy, will be appointed the new chairperson of the School’s clinical pharmacy department. Slain succeeds Dr. Terry Schwinghammer, who will retire this spring.
