The West Virginia University LaunchLab Network’s month-long March Idea Challenge came to an end, lauding a strategic communications major and a mechanical engineering major as the winning team after four contested rounds of the competition. The LaunchLab’s fifth and final pitch competition of the academic year was designed to hone the skills students need to successfully promote their ideas or product to advance their concept, business or invention.

To promote a better understanding of Congress, the West Virginia and Regional History Center at West Virginia University Libraries will open a new exhibit, “The People’s Branch: Exploring the U.S. Congress with Archives,” on April 2, in the Downtown Campus Library’s Rockefeller Gallery. It will remain on display through December.
The Student Rec Center will observe reduced hours March 30 - April 1. The SRC will close at 9 p.m. Friday (March 30) and will be closed Saturday (March 31) and Sunday (April 1). The SRC resumes normal hours April 2.
The Excellence in Civic Engagement Awards showcase the very best of what WVU has to offer in terms of civic engagement. Each year, the Center for Service and Learning recognizes recipients in a variety of categories. This year we will be accepting nominations for students, student organizations, faculty, service-learning instruction, staff and community partners. Nominations are due by Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
