Investigators at the West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute recently performed the first procedure in the world of a phase II trial using focused ultrasound to treat a patient with early stage Alzheimer’s. Dr. Ali Rezai, who led the team, talks with Inside WVU today’s April Kaull about the groundbreaking procedure and the potential it may have to change lives.
