The Community Music Program’s West Virginia Community Choir will join the Chamber Singers, orchestra and soloists for a performance of the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah Saturday (Nov. 3) at 7:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to get into the mood of the Christmas season. Under the direction of Choral Director Kym Scott, WVU’s voice faculty will fill the soloist roles and the orchestra will include professional musicians from Morgantown, Pittsburgh and Fairmont, along with WVU students. Handel’s Messiah is an all time favorite and audiences will enjoy many familiar solos and much-loved choruses included the famed “Hallelujah” chorus.
This is a non-ticketed event with free entry for all.
