As a result of WVU's reinvigorated attempts to counter academic dishonesty, we have seen that testing in large classes is one of the most prevalent contexts for academic dishonesty. In this workshop, titled “Academic Standards: Testing in Large Classes,” you will learn about best practices for ensuring test integrity in large sections. You will also learn about practices that are specific to WVU and working (or not working) here.
Hosted by the Teaching and Learning Commons, this workshop will take place Nov. 7 from 10 - 11 a.m. in Room 104 of the Downtown Library.
WVU's new Director of Academic Integrity, Azalea Hulbert, will be in attendance, so this will be an excellent opportunity to share with her the issues you and your department face with testing.
Presenters: Louis Slimak, Director of Academic Excellence and Assessment;
Paul Miller, Teaching Associate Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy;
John Navaratnam, Teaching Assistant Professor, Department of Biology
