According to the Forbes article last August, the United States electric power industry supports more than 7 million jobs and contributes $880 billion each year to the economy. That’s five percent of our total Gross Domestic Product or GDP. This is also about five percent of all jobs in America or one in every 20 jobs. The seminar will be presented by Chen-Ching Liu who is a pioneer in power grid research, and will focus on the recent advances in electric distribution grid and how you can be prepared for contributing to the development and innovation of the next generator grid. The seminar is today (Oct. 23) at 5 p.m. in 113 MRB. Find out more about the seminar on resilient power distribution systems.
