Duo display tokens will only be available through Barnes & Noble after Jan. 1, 2019

Mountaineer Marketplace will stop selling Duo two-factor authentication hardware after Jan. 1, 2019, now that purchases can be made easily through all online and physical WVU Barnes & Noble bookstores.

Of the more than 47,000 devices enrolled in WVU’s program, only 4,200 are display tokens. Most people use them either as a backup or an alternative to the free Duo Mobile smartphone app. You can learn more about two-factor, including how to set up a display token, at twofactor.wvu.edu.

Information Technology Services worked with Procurement, Contracting and Payment Services to set up the Mountaineer Marketplace option before Barnes & Noble was prepared for online sales. Now, however, Barnes & Noble accepts both personal funds and PCards for two-factor hardware purchases.

Just type “Duo security” or “Duo Digipass” in the search box on the store’s website to find the display tokens, regardless of campus.
