For this month’s special Science on Tap, the Friends of the Cheat will share the story of the organization’s formation and present their current and future endeavors at Morgantown Brewing Company Wednesday (Oct. 3) at 7 p.m.
In addition to giving updates on restoration projects and water quality monitoring efforts, FOC staff will discuss recreation opportunities such as whitewater paddling, the Cheat River Water Trail, and the FOC’s portion of the Allegheny Trail. Staff will also describe outreach and educational events that further its mission. Learn how you can get involved with the organization and enjoy the perks of becoming a member or sponsor.
Whether new to the area or a fifth-generation native, everyone with an interest or stake in the Cheat River is encouraged to attend. There’s so much good stuff that we won’t quite fit it all into our normal one hour, so have another round and stick around for overtime.
