The Mountaineer Parents Club will welcome thousands of families of West Virginia University students to campus this weekend (Sept. 28-30) for the annual Fall Family Weekend.
This year’s schedule includes an exciting roster of events to connect families to the WVU campus, the greater Morgantown community and the Mountaineer culture—and most importantly, to reconnect them with their students.
“Fall Family Weekend is great time on campus for students and their families,” said Lisa Hanselman, director, Mountaineer Parents Club. “Students love having their families here so that they can show off their new home!”
The weekend’s festivities feature many experiences such as a Mountaineer Welcome Stop at the state-of-the-art Student Recreation Center, a Game Watching party on Saturday as the Mountaineers take on Texas Tech, outdoor adventures, academic lectures, private tours, and much more.
“We want families to experience all that our campus has to offer their students,” said Hanselman. Families can zip-line through our forest, enjoy our weekend program WVUp All Night, watch a women’s volleyball game or men or women’s soccer game, take in a work-out at the Student Recreation Center and enjoy breakfast on us on Sunday morning before heading home.
There are a host of additional activities that will be happening on and off-campus for families to enjoy all weekend long.
