OGA will be hosting an Immigration Seminar Wednesday (Sept. 26) in the Greenbrier Room (2nd floor of the WVU Mountainlair) from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The event is open to all WVU international students, scholars, faculty, staff, and public. The presentation will be given by Douglas Halpert, Attorney at Law from the law firm Hammond Law Group, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Doina Jikich, Director of International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS). They will address how to avoid potential immigration complications under current Immigration Climate, by the topics such as the potential landmines for F-1 students and J-1 Exchange Visitors and possible impact of H-1B status violation on Permanent Residency Application.
