Academic Standards: Policy, Process and Data workshop to be held

Teaching & Learning Commons logo.

While we often think of academic dishonesty as a problem that affects individual students, it is also an institutional problem. Presented by WVU’s Director of Assessment and Director of Academic Integrity, this session will focus primarily on insights gained from the data that was collected and analyzed from more than 400 cases in AY 17-18 and how those relate to WVU’s current academic standards policy, sanctioning, and appealing violations. You will also have the opportunity to share examples of academic integrity violations in your classrooms and identify policies or processes that you would like to see changed.

Presenters: Louis Slimak, Director of Academic Excellence and Assessment, and Azalea Hulbert, Director of Academic Integrity

This workshop is hosted by the Teaching and Learning Commons and will take place Oct. 9, 10:30 a.m. to noon, in the Shenandoah room of the Mountainlair.
