The Collegiate Recovery Community, WELLWVU, Student Government Association, and Division of Student Life will host a Friday (Sept. 21) screening of “Recovery Boys,” the latest documentary film from alumna Elaine McMillion Sheldon, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A to include the filmmakers and film subjects.
The screening will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Theatre on High Street in downtown Morgantown. The event is free and open to the WVU community.
The Netflix Original Documentary film follows four young men during their stay at Jacob’s Ladder, a farm-based rehab in Aurora, and their attempt to reinvent their lives and re-enter society in a region ravaged by opioid abuse.
