Register now to learn about best practices for onboarding new employees

Join Leadership and Organization Development for our Supervisor Speaks series Thursday (June 21) from noon to 1 p.m. at One Waterfront Place, Rm. 3117. This session is designed to be interactive and will encourage discussion among all participants. Our Leadership and Organization Development Consultant will share unique tips for onboarding new employees effectively. In addition, specific examples will be provided that can be applied in your workplace immediately. Participants will be encouraged to make connections to how onboarding drives employee engagement. During this session, we will come together as a One WVU to share the best onboarding practices taking place around campus. Participants will learn what others have done, what worked and what did not work, and be encouraged to share practices, ideas and initiatives.  

Objectives and Tools include:  

  • Discuss the importance of- and impact of- onboarding.

  • Distinguish their role as a manager in the onboarding process.

  • Learn to utilize the Supervisor’s Guide for welcoming new staff.

Feel free to bring a laptop, smartphone, tablet or etc. to take notes and experience Supervisor Tool Kit on a mobile device.
