WVU partners with area businesses to support community job fair

The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics, the Division of Talent and Culture and WVU Hospitals will join several other local businesses at the North Central West Virginia Job Fair and Career Workshop on Wednesday (May 9). The event will take place at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place.

B&E’s Center for Career Development will offer a series of free workshops for event attendees. The workshops are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and are designed to help job seekers sharpen their interviewing skills, enhance their resumes and brush up on the latest job-search techniques.

The job fair portion of the event will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registration will begin at 2 p.m. During the job fair, candidates will have the opportunity to meet with several local businesses to discuss current openings and potentially schedule an interview.

Participating businesses include Forge Business Solutions, WVU, WVU Hospitals, Mon General Health Systems, Monongalia County Commission, Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, Shaft Drillers International, United Bank, West Virginia High Technology Foundation, West Virginia Department of Transportation/Division of Highways, West Virginia Regional Jail Authority, Align HR and Ascension Recovery Services, among others.
