Employees who aren’t using two-factor authentication by 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10 will be unable to log into dozens of secure WVU systems, including Portal, web access to Office 365 and Pay Statement. Student workers who don’t enroll will be unable to check final grades in STAR using the Portal.
See your local IT support team if you need assistance or contact Information Technology Services at ITSHelp@mail.wvu.edu or 304.293.4444.
To enroll, go to login.wvu.edu on your laptop or desktop computer and select “My Login.” Enter your WVU credentials, click “Enroll in Duo 2-Factor” and follow the steps to add your mobile device. Be ready to download the free Duo Mobile smartphone app during this process, and make sure to allow notifications.
On May 10, everyone with an employee role in our identity management systems will be automatically enrolled in two-factor. This may include both current student workers and former student workers whose employee roles were never terminated in MAP (Mountaineer Administrative Processes).
If you don’t have a smartphone, speak to your supervisor about hardware alternatives that are available in Mountaineer Marketplace and Barnes & Noble campus bookstores.
