Nominations for President’s Volunteer Service Award now open

The Center for Service and Learning is accepting nominations for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Any faculty, student or staff member who has completed at least 100 hours of service between March 31, 2017 and April 1 is eligible for nomination.  

Faculty, student or staff members may count hours from community service and service learning courses. All honorees who accept their nomination will receive a commemorative pin. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement.  Levels include: Bronze (100 to 174 hours), Silver (175 to 249 hours), Gold (250 or more hours) and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime. Anyone may nominate another Mountaineer or may nominate themselves. Nominees will the be contacted and prompted to accept their award. All nominations are due by April 25.
