Students in the College of Creative Arts perform more than 300 events per year in many venues across campus, Morgantown and the state. Many of the events are free to the public and family friendly. April 17
Music at the Mountainlair - 12:30 p.m.
The winners of the School of Music Chamber Music Competition will perform a winner’s showcase during Music at the Mountainlair.
Art Up Close!: Peter Butler - 5:30 p.m.
“Art in the Landscape: Traditions in Sculpture Garden Design” and the Nath Sculpture Garden will be the focus of the Art Up Close! program scheduled for Tuesday, April 17.
Theatre Performance: The Three Musketeers - April 17 - 22, times vary
Filled with adventure, danger and swashbuckling swordplay, this play takes the audience on a journey with three heroes as they face dangerous villains and find new companionship along the way.
Symphonic Band Concert - 7:30 p.m.
Led by Lindsey Williams, the Symphonic Band will perform pieces including “Flashing Winds,” “Ignition” and “Rolling Thunder.”
April 19
Music Faculty Showcase - 8 p.m.
Performers for the faculty showcase include Nina Assimakopoulos, Bill Koehler, Hope Koehler, Jared Sims, Ching-Wen Hsaio, Sun Jung Lee and Andrea Houde.
Demo Day: Creative Arts Innovation Demonstration - 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Innovative art in all forms will be showcased in the lobby of the Creative Arts Center. Demonstrations include, but are not limited to; ceramics, sculpture, design for social impact, flute performances, and recording studios.
Jazz Thursdays
Weekly event every Thursday, 9 p.m. at Morgantown Brewing Co. in Downtown Morgantown
