On Tuesday (March 27) from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., WVU’s PRSSA chapter will host the second annual Let’s Eat: A Multicultural Food Festival. The event will take place in the Reed College of Media Innovation Center on the fourth floor of Evansdale Crossing at WVU. Admission tickets are $5 in advance and $7 on the day of the event. Each admission ticket includes seven tasting tickets that attendees can redeem at tasting booths. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mountaineer Boys & Girls Club
“We can’t wait to give attendees a taste of the diversity on WVU’s campus as we feature several cultural student organizations,” says Maya Tretheway, Public Relations Director of WVU’s PRSSA chapter. “We hope this event will again raise money that helps the Mountaineer Boys & Girls Club continue their life changing work in our community.”
Ten organizations plan to participate, including the Caribbean Student Association, Japanese Club, German Club, Culturas and more. Each organization will provide a few dishes that are representative of their respective cultures. Attendees are invited to sample foods from these various cultures and learn about the diversity of the student organizations on WVU’s campus.
Event proceeds will benefit the Mountaineer Boys & Girls Club, a Morgantown based nonprofit organization focused on enriching the lives of young people through educational services and by providing a safe space for youth to go to after school. Members of the Boys & Girls Club will also be participating in the event.
Anyone interested in buying $5 advance tickets or sponsoring a family from the Boys & Girls Club for $20 may do so by using the Venmo app and sending to @wvuprssa, or through this PayPal link. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door for $7.
