Information Technology Services has implemented an immediate emergency shutdown of STAR, eCampus and other WVU systems because of an equipment failure at One Waterfront Place. The air conditioning systems that cool computer servers have failed and the servers must be shut down before they overheat and cause greater damage.
The air conditioning system has been fixed and we will begin to bring the serves and the affected systems back online around 7 p.m. It will take an hour for those systems to be restored. We hope to have affected systems up and running by 8 p.m.
