The WVU Office of Global Affairs will host an Immigration Seminar March 9. The event will be held in the Shenandoah Room (1st floor of the WVU Mountainlair) from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The event is open to all WVU international students, scholars, faculty, staff and public. The presentation will be given by Douglas Halpert, Attorney at Law from the law firm Hammond Law Group, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Doina Jikich, Director of the International Students and Scholars Services (ISSS) at West Virginia University. They will address the following topics: F-1/J-1 Employment Options, Pathways to Temporary and Permanent Work Visas, and Executive Orders and the New Administration -- Impacts on Immigration.
