The Office of Admissions is seeking student, staff and faculty volunteers March 24 and April 14 to assist more than 1,000 families for our admitted student open house days "Decide WVU." Volunteers will be asked to give directions of campus, offer assistance and be a friendly face.
Volunteers will be asked to wear a provided staff lanyard, khakis, comfortable tennis shoes and a family friendly WVU top. Be mindful of weather and dress accordingly.
Duties may include: standing near PRT stations, standing near heavily trafficked areas around campus, giving directions, parking assistance, answering general questions about the day (using the WVU Guide app and provided program) and the University.
We are seeking people who are passionate about the University and want to help students make the decision to come to WVU. The students attending this event are admitted to the University but may have not made their college decision yet. You could help make a positive impact on these students and their families.
Lunch is provided.
Locations for the day will be all over campus including Health Sciences PRT, Evansdale and Downtown campuses. We will work with you on your campus preference.
Shifts are available upon request and look could look like this:
7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (Parking and giving directions)
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (PRT guidance, directions)
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (PRT guidance, directions)
