Students and alumni seeking internships and full-time employment will have the opportunity to meet with 170 employers on campus during 48 hours of networking opportunities.
With 70 employers, the B&E Career Fair begins tomorrow (Jan. 30) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the Statler College Career Fair will host 100 employers on Wednesday (Jan. 31), from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both events will be held at the Student Recreation Center.
It is critical for students to seek internships early in their academic career and even more important for upcoming graduates to begin their full-time job search nine to twelve months prior to graduation.
“Career fairs are a critical element to the job search process,” said Alli Colasante, public relations manager at Career Services. “They provide students the opportunity to make a positive first impression before applying to positions; and in many instances, organizations decide which candidates to interview based on their interactions at their booth.”
According to Sarah Glenn, associate director of the Career Services Center, “We are excited to be teaming up again with the College of Business and Economics and the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources to provide employers with such an efficient and scalable way to recruit across multiple disciplines.”
