Employees on all WVU campuses may securely access and print out their W-2 forms at MyAccess.wvu.edu using the MyHR tab starting today (Jan. 22). Although you may print using WVU machines, DON’T download or save a copy of your W-2 to your work computer. Nor should you email a W-2 to yourself or anyone else. Tax documents contain personally identifiable and sensitive information, and transmitting that information via email violates WVU’s policy on Acceptable Use of Data Technology and Resources.
For those who prefer at home mail delivery, WVU Tax Services will be mailing a paper copy of your W-2 to your home address on or before Jan. 31.
If you access your W-2 from an off-campus or home computer, you will need to use Master Apps. Once you log in, select the Internet Explorer icon, then navigate to myaccess.wvu.edu. MasterApps does not offer browsers commonly associated with Apple products, so Mac users should still use IE. Simultaneous access to MasterApps is limited to several hundred people, so if you get an “Access is denied” error message when launching IE, please try again later.
To obtain older W-2 forms, contact WVU Tax Services at tax@mail.wvu.edu. Learn more about obtaining W-2s on the W-2 Information page on the Tax Services website, where you will find an FAQ and a form to request assistance. Please provide your name, telephone number, month and year of birth, and either your WVU ID or your employee number, but do NOT include Social Security numbers. If you have problems with this form, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 304.293.4444 for help submitting it.
