Local band to provide live music, dinner to Rosenbaum Family House guests in time for the holidays

Blended Reality Band
A southwestern Pennsylvania-based band is scheduled to perform at the Rosenbaum Family House today (Dec. 20) at 7 p.m.Blended Reality Band, a country-pop trio of siblings, will perform at the Family House as well as provide a hot meal for guests, just in time for the holidays.

“There isn’t a better time than Christmas to give to the community,” said Mack, the sister of the three siblings and lead singer for the band. “Many of these people won’t be able to go home for a holiday family meal so it’s nice to be able to provide dinner and some music so they have one less thing to worry about this holiday; hopefully we can bring a smile to them.”

The Family House provides lodging and offers programs to support families facing a medical crisis, who often have relatives being treated at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Medicine’s flagship institution.

Since opening its doors in 1999, the Family House has hosted more than 16,000 families. In 2016, the Family House was home to nearly 1,700 families, and in 2015 provided more than 9,800 meals to families in need.

As “family first” is the motto and basis of the band, they hope a hot meal and live music will provide comfort during the holiday season. Established in 2015, Blended Reality Band continues to perform not only in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia, but across the country as well.
