The Morgantown Community Orchestra, supported by the School of Music's Community Music Program, will present its "Orchestral Fireworks" Concert Sunday (Dec. 10). The 5 p.m. concert is free and open to the public, and will be held in the Falbo Theatre of the Creative Arts Center. The orchestra, under the direction of André Januario, is a group of area amateur and professional musicians, college students, middle school and high school students who rehearse once a week to share their love of music-making. The concert will feature music by Handel, Rameau, Gluck, Mendelssohn, Bartok, Gates and Leavitt. The Morgantown Children's and Youth Choirs will join the orchestra on a few musical selections. A reception, with opportunity to meet the performers, will immediately follow the concert in the lobby of the Theatre.
