"Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation"

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the Native American Studies program will show the inspiring film, "Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation" today (Nov. 28) at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair Student Union's Gluck Theatre. This acclaimed film follows the true story of the Iroquois National Lacrosse Team as it competed in the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships. For the first time, the international championship games were held on a Native American reservation (Onondaga, capital of the Iroquois Confederacy). The film also features this year's peace tree guest of honor, Chief Oren Lyons, a Lacrosse Hall of Fame player. The event is free and open to the public.
