Do you play the violin and want to try a different kind of music? Have you ever found yourself drawn to the sound of a fiddle tune that gets your foot tappin’? If so, rosin up your bow and join us! We're down to only two more workshops this term. The next one will focus on traditional fiddle tunes and styles from the Appalachian region. The music will be taught by ear, keeping with the oral tradition; but sheet music can be provided upon request. These Community Music Program workshops are open to intermediate level string players, ages 10-adult. Some knowledge of how to play the instrument is required, but Oldtime experience is not. The remaining one-evening workshops happen Wednesday evenings Nov. 15 and Dec. 6 from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Creative Arts Center. For more information and registration call 304.293.6946.
