In celebration of both WVU’s 150th birthday and Women’s History Month, the Office of the Provost invites girls in the community, grades k-8, to a special event called “When I Grow Up . . .”

This open-house format activity fair will be held March 29 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Museum Education Center at the Art Museum of WVU. More than 20 booths will be featured, staffed by WVU students, faculty and staff members from all across campus. The event’s goal is to get young girls excited about their futures and engaged with a community of strong, successful women.

Booths scheduled for the event focus on a wide range of disciplines and themes, from “When I grow up I want to be an entrepreneur” and “When I grow up I want to be fierce on the soccer field” to “When I grow up I want to be curious about natural resources” and “When I grow up, I want to tell stories with a camera.”

Girls and their families are also invited to a free show at the WVU Planetarium at 7:00 p.m. that night after the event’s conclusion.
