A special invitation to veterans and people with disabilities

Special invitation instructions

The University and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action within the Division of Human Resources values our diverse workforce and is proud of our inclusive community. As part of our continued commitment to recognize our diverse populations and provide services to those communities, we invite protected veterans and people with disabilities to self-identify. By taking the initiative to voluntarily self-identify, our University can collect accurate demographic information that will further foster an environment where all can pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Go to myaccess.wvu.edu using either Internet Explorer or Firefox. Do not use Chrome, as you will not be able to save your information using that browser. Log in to MyAccess using your single sign-on username and password, and follow the simple steps below. Be sure to submit your updates so the information is saved.

1.  Select “MyHR” Tab

2.  Select “Veteran Status”

3.  Select “Disability Status”

If you require this information in an accessible format, or need assistance completing the voluntary information, please contact Jill Hess in the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Jill.Hess@mail.wvu.edu, or 293.5600.

View the "Am I A Protected Veteran? (https://www.dol.gov/ofccp/posters/Infographics/ProtectedVet_InfoGraphic_JRFQA508c.pdf)" graphic to determine if you are a protected veteran.

Thank you for helping advance the University’s commitment to diversity!
