Experts weigh in on multibillion-dollar peptide industry

Krista Capehart tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette not all peptides should be viewed the same way.

“There may be benefits from [experimental peptides],” said Capehart, professor and director of the Wigner Institute for Advanced Pharmacy Practice, Education, and Research at the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.

“Nobody’s saying that we shouldn’t use them or that there’s not a benefit, but my big thing is that we need to see real evidence and real data to make sure we can use them safely.”
