Matt Kasson, an award-winning mycologist and plant pathologist in the Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, moderated a discussion with Merlin Sheldrake, a mycologist and author, as part of the Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures “Ten Evenings” series.

Sheldrake wrote the book, “Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds, and Shape Our Futures,” which features Kasson among other scientists.

The event was held April 13 at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh.

“It was an incredible experience,” Kasson said of leading a discussion about fungi in front of an audience of more than 1,500.
