The new Institutional Review Board Module is now live in the WVU Research Administration Platform, ready for researchers to update existing protocols and create new submissions.
This module helps strengthen research compliance and improves how researchers submit, track and manage human subject research protocols.
Prepare to use the IRB module by reviewing the Investigator Manual and Getting Started guides and the IRB Transition to WRAP page for comprehensive resources.
As with the launch of any major new system, both researchers and staff will be adapting to change, and reviews will take longer to complete. Please be patient during this transition period and keep these tips in mind:
Plan your timelines and submit early.
Attend a system training session to become familiar with updated processes and workflow.
Read the entire protocol template carefully and ensure all sections are completed prior to submission.
Review the Investigator Manual even if you aren’t preparing a submission. This will help you understand current expectations and system changes.
This week’s sessions include the following:
Wednesday (Feb. 18): Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Thursday (Feb. 19): 2-3:30 p.m.
Friday (Feb. 20): 10-11:30 a.m.
