The WVU Research Administration Portal will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Feb. 13 through 5 p.m. Feb. 14 in preparation for the launch of the new IRB module.
During this time, you will be unable to submit, edit or review items in any module. Complete any urgent actions before downtime begins.
The new Institutional Review Board module in the WVU Research Administration Portal will officially launch Feb. 16. This marks an important milestone in modernizing protocol management and strengthening research compliance across the University. The IRB upgrade will significantly improve how researchers submit, track and manage human subject research protocols.
As with the launch of any major new system, however, both researchers and staff will be adapting to change in the coming weeks. Please anticipate delays and be patient during this transition period.
Researchers are encouraged to regularly visit the IRB Transition to WRAP landing page for the latest details, including:
• Future handling of migrated protocols.
• Important project and transition dates.
• Training opportunities and registration information.
The WRAP IRB project is part of the WVU Modernization Program, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a more agile, efficient and connected university that is equipped to adapt to change and fulfill our purpose for decades to come.
