First-Year Seminar Instructor of the Year Award nominations due Dec. 5

The First-Year Seminar Advisory Committee and the Office of the Provost are accepting nominations for an award aimed at honoring an exceptional instructor of the First-Year Seminar (191).

All First-Year Seminar instructors across the WVU System are eligible, including those at Potomac State College and WVU Tech.

The First-Year Seminar Instructor of the Year Award recognizes an instructor who demonstrates outstanding dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for first-year students through a commitment to student success, excellence in teaching and innovation.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit nominations through Friday (Dec. 5).  

Instructors may self-nominate.

The recipient will be awarded $1,250 toward professional development opportunities within the current fiscal year.
