The week will kick off with a purpose-focused yoga session at 9 a.m. Monday (Sept. 22) in the Mountainlair, Mountaineer Room. Blending mindful movement with guided reflection to help you connect your strengths, purpose and well-being, this unique session will be led by Julie Gruber, a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths coach and yoga instructor. Prior yoga experience is not required.

Faculty and staff are also invited to attend “Knowing the Strengths of Our Students” from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 23) or from 11 a.m. to noon Friday (Sept. 26) on Zoom.

Jessie Barclay, student experience manager, will share data collected during New Student Orientation and Gallup surveys to help understand the strengths of our freshmen and overall student body. She will discuss how this information can be helpful as you interact and communicate with your students, and build curriculum and programming. Barclay will also explore how faculty and staff can leverage their own unique strengths as higher education professionals.
