Mountaineer Marching Band to hold ribbon-cutting ceremony for new practice site today (Aug. 29)

Celebrating a major milestone, the WVU Mountaineer Marching Band will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Pride Practice Facility from 4-4:30 p.m. today (Aug. 29) at the Med Fields next to Mountaineer Station.

The ceremony will celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the Pride Practice Facility, including the turf practice field.

University President Michael T. Benson, College of Creative Arts and Media Philip J. Faini/Falbo Family Dean Keith Jackson, School of Music Director of Bands Scott Tobias, Director of Athletic Bands Cheldon Williams, band members, alumni, donors and other supporters will be in attendance. 

The event is open to the public.
