Phi Beta Kappa inducts new members

Phi Beta Kappa Graduates

Fifty-five graduates were inducted as lifelong members into the WVU Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, a national honor society that recognizes outstanding achievement in the liberal arts and sciences, and champions freedom of thought.

Members voted to induct Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Dean Gregory Dunaway as an honorary member.

Formed at William and Mary in December 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the country’s oldest honorary society. The WVU Chapter was formed in 1910 and is the only chapter in West Virginia.
