Presentations sought for West Virginia Rural Health Conference

The West Virginia Rural Health Association is now accepting proposals for the 2025 Annual Conference which will be held Nov. 12-14 in Huntington. The theme of this year’s event is “Building Bridges — Amplifying Rural Perspectives in Healthcare.”

The event will focus on collaboration among health care providers, community organizations, and policymakers to improve rural health care access and outcomes.

Possible presentation topics include:

• Rural health care access and equity.

• Public health and community engagement.

• Mental and behavioral health.

• Health care workforce development.

• Telehealth and technology innovations.

• Policy and advocacy for rural health.

• Social determinants of health.

• Substance use disorder treatment.

• Chronic disease management and more.

Presentation formats include oral presentations lasting 45-60 minutes, panel discussions lasting 60 minutes and interactive workshops lasting 60 to 90 minutes.

The submission deadline is May 16. Notifications will be sent June 10. Final presentation documents are due Aug. 29.
