The Higher Learning Commission will be on the Morgantown Campus for its 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation site visit today (March 31) and Tuesday (April 1).
Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in appropriate sessions to demonstrate their pride in the institution and investment in the accreditation process.
The sessions will give attendees an opportunity to provide general feedback regarding their WVU experience and discuss specific topics related to the five criteria of the HLC self-study report.
The forums will be held at the Erickson Alumni Center as follows:
Monday (March 31)
• 2-2:45 p.m. — Undergraduate Student Forum, Salon B
• 2-2:45 p.m. — Staff Forum, Salon C
• 3-3:45 p.m. — Faculty Forum, Salon B
• 4-4:45 p.m. — Graduate Student Forum, Salon C
Tuesday (April 1)
• 11-11:45 a.m. — Open Campus Forum, Salon C
Louis Slimak, associate provost for curriculum and assessment and the University’s accreditation liaison, led efforts over the last year to gather input and compile the self-study.
The self-study includes reports from across the University to demonstrate how the institution is meeting the HLC’s five evaluation criteria:
