Parents of preterm babies between the ages of 3 and 7 months are encouraged to participate in this study conducted by researchers from the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to understand the impact of prematurity on motor development.
The study involves a single visit to the WVU baby laboratory which will last less than one hour.
During the visit, small movement sensors will be attached to your baby’s onesie, and your baby will be recorded while playing during tummy time for as long as they can tolerate it.
Your participation will help us understand movement control in preemie babies.
Participants who complete the study will receive a $50 gift card as compensation.
This study has been approved by the WVU Institutional Review Board. Approval is on file.
