Faculty and instructors across all disciplines are invited to enhance their teaching and scholarship by engaging with the museum’s permanent collection of more than 5,000 objects.
The Faculty Fellowship allows educators to collaborate with museum staff to develop an approximately 30-50 object exhibition that integrates themes and concepts from their teaching and research practice with the Art Museum’s holdings.
Applications are due by March 28.
During the summer, the fellow will meet with museum staff for intensive workshops on museum writing style, an orientation to the collection, and collaborative planning and writing of museum labels, essays and education guides.
The fellow will also commit to at least two rounds of revision of these materials to take place during the fall semester. Fellows will be compensated $3,800 for this scope of work.
The exhibition will then open in January 2026.
“The Faculty Fellows program is something I’d recommend to my colleagues in the highest possible terms,” said Adam Komisaruk, the 2025 Faculty Fellow. “I’ve been given a lot of freedom, but at the same time a lot of thoughtful guidance. The museum staff has been incredibly supportive, professional and creative.”
Komisaruk curated the current “Radiant Pages: The Art of the Book” exhibition.
