Anderson named program director of employer relations at WVU Career Services

Ali Anderson, who has a remarkable track record in enhancing operations and experiences at the WVU Visitor Centers, is poised to advance the Career Services mission of connecting students with meaningful career opportunities.

“Ali Anderson brings a wealth of experience and visionary leadership that will undoubtedly enhance employer engagement and create new opportunities for our students,” said Erica LaRue, interim director. “Her expertise will strengthen our corporate and community partnerships and positively impact the student body.”

Anderson will play a pivotal role in upcoming career fairs. These events are invaluable for students to explore career paths, engage with industry professionals, and secure internships or job placements. 

An upcoming schedule of events includes the following:

The Business Career and Internship Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

The Behavior and Social Sciences Career and Internship Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

The STEM Career and Internship Fair (Day 1) will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Student Rec Center.

The STEM Career and Internship Fair (Day 2) will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Student Rec Center.

Faculty members are encouraged to incorporate these events into their syllabi to maximize student participation.

To ensure students are well-prepared to shine at the upcoming career fairs and beyond, faculty members are invited to reach out for additional resources that can be shared with students.

Anderson’s leadership promises to bring exciting initiatives and enhanced employer relations to WVU Career Services.
