New research administration portal live and available to WVU community

Computer

The new WVU Research Administration Portal is successfully processing data.

Researchers can email WVU subject-matter experts for questions related to business processes or the new interface, or join one of several virtual office-hour meetings. Click the “Get Help” button at the top of the Research Connect site for a list of contacts and links to the live office hours.

For help with technical issues such as login challenges, error messages or elevated access requests, call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.

If you have not already done so, register for training in the new system. This is critical if you are planning a submission for January or February. The Research Office will continue to offer instructor-led training on WRAP throughout the year.

The new system will change the submission processes for proposals, awards, agreements, COI disclosures, and WV CTSI clinical trial registrations and agreements.

While the IRB protocol system in WVU+kc won’t change with the launch of WRAP, a new COI disclosure is required for IRB protocols. Please submit a new disclosure in WRAP as soon as possible to avoid delays.

The replacement of WVU+kc is part of the Research Connect workstream in the WVU Modernization Program. This multi-year program also includes a redesign of business processes to improve efficiency.

To ensure the new system is stable and working as designed, the Research Office won’t be accepting enhancement requests to WRAP for at least 60 days. This will ensure that technical resources are available to address unanticipated issues.

Use this form to provide feedback.

In the future, enhancement requests will be submitted through a form in the IT Help Center. Requests will be reviewed by a governance committee and prioritized by a variety of factors, including the scope of the benefit to the research community, the level of complexity, and whether vendor resources are required and need to be scheduled.
