The Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast hosted by the WVU Center for Black Culture will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 18) in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.
The event is free; however, tickets must be reserved to attend.
Tiffany Dena Loftin, a union leader and community organizer, will be the keynote speaker. As the AFA-CWA senior campaign lead, she currently oversees the campaign to unionize 28,000 Delta Airlines flight attendants and serves as the higher education lead for the Debt Collective.
Gregory Epps, a program manager for the Health Sciences Center, will be presented with the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award.
In his role, Epps helps students from underrepresented backgrounds succeed by collaborating with faculty, staff, students, alumni and members of the community to create an inclusive community that provides a positive and encouraging environment for these students.
The recipients of the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship will also be recognized for their commitment to human rights, civil rights and social justice.
