Researchers seeking preterm babies for development study

Baby

Researchers from the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are conducting a study to understand the impact of prematurity on motor development.

Parents of preterm babies between the ages of 3 and 7 months are encouraged to participate.

The study involves a single visit to the WVU baby laboratory which will last less than one hour.

During the visit, small movement sensors will be attached to your baby’s onesie, and your baby will be recorded while playing during tummy time for as long as they can tolerate it.

Participants who complete the study will receive a $50 gift card as compensation.

This study has been approved by the WVU Institutional Review Board. Approval is on file.
