The family of a surgical technology student who lives in Asheville, North Carolina, reported that personal hygiene products are some of the most requested items by victims.
In less than a week, students collected more than $700 worth of supplies, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, pads, tampons, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, first aid kits, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and more.
The items were added to a trailer provided by Beitzel Corporation and Pillar Innovations located in Grantsville, Maryland, and will be delivered this weekend.
