The author and podcaster will share what they have learned during their travels through the Mountain State and beyond from 1-2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Maple House.
Rae Garringer grew up on a sheep farm in southern West Virginia and has spent the last 11 years on a mission to connect rural and small-town LGBTQIA2S+ people to one another.
The project is helping to fight the isolation often experienced and to build rural queer communities despite geographical distance.
Their new book, “Country Queers: A Love Letter,” is the culmination of this incredible work.
