The West Virginia Local Science Engagement Network will host Mary Catherine Longshore, senior training manager for the American Association the Advancement of Science, for a webinar on the fundamentals of science communication and public engagement from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 9 on Zoom.
Longshore will introduce researchers to basic best practices for engaging with the public, considering goals, relevant audiences, tailored messaging and activities planning.
This webinar is open to anyone; however, it is geared towards scientists and researchers at all career levels.
