WVU earns spot in Age-Friendly University Global Network

WVU is set to become an Age-Friendly Champion as a newly minted member of the Age-Friendly University Global Network, a platform of institutes of higher education committed to creating inclusive and supportive environments that welcome learners of all ages as well as promote age-friendly policies, research, services and initiatives.

During the University’s five-year network membership, administrators, faculty and staff will collaborate with network and peer institution representatives to identify and implement best practices and innovative approaches to engage aging learners.

WVU will contribute to and benefit from a growing collective knowledge in the field of aging including sociological, physiological, cognitive, cultural and entrepreneurial applications.
